Consultation of Federation of Mortimer St. John\’s CE Infant School and Mortimer St. Mary’s Junior School.

The governors at Mortimer St. John’s Infant and Mortimer St. Mary’s Junior Schools have voted to proceed to federating the two schools. As part of the process the schools are implementing a consultation period from midday on Monday 11th March 2019 until midday on Wednesday 24th April 2019.

The document below is the consultation document which details: 
i) the reasoning behind the governors decision and the advantages they see to the schools, 

ii) details on the consultation process (including dates for stakeholder meetings during the consultation period and what will happen afterwards), 

iii) the suggested leadership and governing board organisation for the federation, 

iv) frequently asked questions about federation and its impact, 

v) extra documentation relevant to the governor\’s decision making

and

vi) the methods for responding to the schools with your comments about federation.

 Stakeholder meetings have been arranged for Monday 18th March 2019 and Wednesday 3rd April 2019, both at St John’s Village Hall at 7.30 p.m. These will consist of a quick overview of why the decision has been made by the governors and a question and answer session.

Please make sure you have your say and respond to the schools in one of the ways detailed in the document.

There will be paper response forms available at each of the above meetings and at both of the schools or e-mail responses are welcome to both school offices with a subject heading ‘Federation Consultation’ and an electronic copy of the response form below.
